Apparently bogus "No rows selected"

by Leonard Harris, November 19, 2003 15:58

For some reason, a very simple SQL statement with Access via ODBiC is always returning "No rows selected".

SELECT * from vlnteer (returns no rows selected, although the table contains many rows)

but SELECT * from vlnteer order by firstname (returns expected data) and SELECT * from vlnteer where lastname like 's%' (returns expected data)

Much more complex statements also work fine with the vlnteer table.

All other tables in database return expected data when using the simple SELECT * from tablename

but not the vlnteer table

I tried repairing the database, but that had no effect.

I've been using ODBiC successfully for many years.

Any ideas?
